Services We Offer

Your Partner in Sustainability

bcrn_session.jpgThe Fraser Basin Council is available to assist public, private and non-profit organizations with their sustainability challenges. In particular, we help bring together people from multiple jurisdictions, sectors and interests to explore the social, economic and environmental dimensions of issues.

We offer the talents of a multi-disciplinary staff with experience in group facilitation, conflict resolution, life sciences, natural resource management, sustainability planning, education, outreach and program administration.

Thanks to our Directors, regional committees and networks, we stay current on local and regional issues.

Facilitation ― Bringing people together

FBC often serves as an impartial facilitator or convener of meetings, workshops and dialogues. We can help leaders across sectors meet, canvass issues and options, and reach collaborative outcomes. We do not advocate for particular positions or prescribe a specific course of action. We recognize there is more than one path to sustainability, and that people can find common ground through good process. That’s what inspires us most!

Education ― Building understanding

FBC supports opportunities for people to learn about sustainability, and take action. We are available to partner on innovative education programs, demonstration projects and incentive programs.

Other Ways We Can Help

  • Conflict and dispute resolution
  • Applied research and analysis
  • Assistance in building strong working relationships
  • Program coordination and secretariat services.

About the Fraser Basin Council

The Fraser Basin Council (FBC) is a charitable non-profit organization that brings people together to advance sustainability in the Fraser River Basin and throughout BC. Established in 1997, FBC is a collaboration of four orders of government (federal, provincial, local and First Nations) along with those from the private sector and civil society. We work with people in multiple sectors, helping them find collaborative solutions to today’s issues through a commitment to the social, economic and environmental dimensions of sustainability. Our focus is on healthy water and watersheds, action on climate change and air quality and strong, resilient communities and regions.
