Program Coordinator, Climate Change and Air Quality
Eliana Chia joined the Fraser Basin Council in 2015 as Program Coordinator for the Climate Change and Air Quality Program.
Eliana is involved in the BC Regional Adaptation (BC RAC) program, which focuses on developing and sharing tools and resources to help leaders in local government, First Nations, and the resource sector plan for climate change adaptation. She is also assisting with the First Nations Home EnergySave program, which works with First Nations communities and support organizations to reduce energy use, share success stories, and build local capacity and economic development.
Eliana graduated from the University of British Columbia’s School of Community and Regional Planning with a Master’s Degree in Planning, specializing in social planning and community development. She has also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Development from Queen’s University. Prior to joining the Fraser Basin Council, Eliana engaged in work on community outreach and planning, First Nations development, and strategic planning within international contexts.
